The Consumers, Health and Food Executive Agency (CHAFEA) is the successor of the Executive Agency for Health and Consumers (EAHC), set up by the European Commission in 2006.

Approximately 120 participants from all over Europe attended the first Wine and Health conference in Zagreb on April 14, 2015. The latest scientific evidence on wine and health as well as moderation, responsibility and education were on the agenda.

The Institut de Recherches Scientifiques sur les Boissons will organise a congress on the study of alcohol the next 18 March 2015.

On the 1-5 June 2015, the Kettil Bruun Society is holding a symposium to provide a forum for researchers involved in studies on alcohol to exchange ideas about their ongoing research.
