How many calories are in wine?
Calories vary from one wine to another. The precise number of calories will not only depend on the alcohol but also on the sugar content of the wine while a minor contribution will also come from organic acids.
While a gram of sugar is 4 Kcal, a gram of alcohol is 7 Kcal. The calories in a glass of wine will depend on the type of wine and the size of the glass. For more information, visit the Wine in Moderation website.
