Brazil hosts the 2016 OIV Congress

At the invitation of the Minister of Agriculture and Supply, the 39th World Vine and Wine Congress and the 14th General Assembly of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) will be held in Bento Gonçalvez, Brazil from 24 to 28 October.

It is an honour for the Federal Republic of Brazil to welcome the world’s leading experts of the wine industry who will have the opportunity to discuss the general theme “Vitiviniculture: technological advances to market challenges”.

Additional aspects in line with the OIV Strategic Plan and relevant for the future of the wine sector will also be tackled:

• Sustainable development and climate changes
• Oenological products: necessity Vs possibility
• Wine culture
• Responsible consumption
