X Mediterranean Diet Conference

The X International Mediterranean Diet Conference will be held during the International Food and Beverage Exhibition, Alimentaria 2016, April 25-28 2016 in Barcelona.

The keynote speaker of the conference will be Prof. Iris Shai, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, reporting about her latest research results on moderate wine consumption and type 2 diabetes. She is the leading investigator of the first randomized controlled CASCADEThe CASCADE study (CArdiovaSCulAr D trial with moderate wine consumption which was published in 2015 in the Annals of Internal Medicine: Effects of Initiating Moderate Alcohol Intake on Cardiometabolic Risk in Adults With Type 2 Diabetes: A 2-Year Randomized, Controlled Trial.
